Front tooth of ± 5 x 1.7 cm, perfectly preserved. It preserves the enamel and part of the root, the tip is used by the animal itself.
Spinosaurus (scientific name Spinosaurus, from the Greek for "reptile thorn") was a dinosaur
megalosauroid theropod that inhabited northern Africa in the mid-Cretaceous (in the Cenomanian era,
between 95 and 93 million years ago). It was found in Niger, Egypt and Morocco.
Spinosaurus belonged to the Spinosauridae family and was closely related to Baryonyx, Suchomimus and Irritator.
