This amber is unique because it is fluorescent and gives green color, can be seen with black light.
* Amber of Chiapas has special characteristics; in its natural state it appears as nodules yellow, red or gold, within strata of marine calcareous sandstones and layers of lignite in appropriate geological formations to the end of the Oligocene and early Miocene, with a length of 22.5 to 26 millions of years. It has been determined that their origin was palaeobotanist resin legume genus Hyme-NAEA, ancestor tree known locally as guapinol.
