Beautiful fossil buccal plate of ± 9 × 6.2 cm; it is perfect and without restoration.
* This big, bony fish had those tooth plates on the back of its mouth. It was used to crush prey such as shells and crustaceans before swallowing them. This buccal plate is still in the original sandy matrix and is 100% intact.
