Hematite pseudo Magnetite (variety martita)
Group of octahedral crystals of pseudomorphic magnetite hematite, with very well defined faces and edges. On the faces of the Hematite, a second generation of the same mineral has formed, with fine laminar and very bright crystals.The crystals were formed in the fumaroles of the El Payún Matrú volcano.
The piece measures ± 3.7 x 4 and is mounted on a 4 x 4 cm methacrylate base. The largest crystal is m ± 2cm from edges.
