Amgala 001 meteorite, found in 2022 in Saguia el Hamra, Western Sahara, TKW 34.67 kg. It weighs 1.6 grams and measures 0.8 cm.
The University of Washington classified the meteorites as rare Martian Shergottite (olivine-phyric).
The zoned olivine phenocrysts (up to 2 mm in length) are set in a groundmass with variable grain size composed predominantly of prismatic zoned clinopyroxene and lath-shaped masquelynite, together with accessory alkali feldspar, pyrrhotite, ulvöspinel, chromite (with variable Ti content), ilmenite, baddeleyite and chlorapatite.
